Hi, my name is Eleanore, and I was born in Cameroon, Africa. I studied medicine in France and moved to the U.S. in the early 90s. I reside in Lansing, MI where I work as a bi-vocational pastor and physician. I gave my life to Christ in an Assembly of God church, felt called into ministry, and went to Bible school. While there, I felt lead by God to take teams on short term medical mission trips. I returned from one of those trips in 2007 with a burning desire to open a clinic for the uninsured. His Healing Hands Clinic opened its doors in November 2009. Shortly after, I planted His Healing Hands Church to meet the spiritual needs of my patients.
I am currently enrolled in the Doctorate of Ministry program at the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary (AGTS) and a member of the female leadership cohort. This journey has not only been educationally refreshing, but it has also opened my heart to inner healing.
I have learned that: “Very, very few people emerge out of their family of origin emotionally whole or mature.” – Peter Scazzero
My pain has allowed me to learn who I am in Christ and help me become who he’s called me to be. In this blog, I want to share with you my journey toward freedom.
I am also married and a mother of three wonderful children. In my spare time, I love to read and learn how to play the piano.
