Reflections on Faith, Partnership, and Walking with Families from Crisis to Stability
As we close 2025, I pause with a deeply grateful heart.
This year has been a powerful and transformative one—not only for the families we served through the 100 Families Initiative, but for me personally. What began as a vision became a living, breathing movement because of people who showed up, trusted the process, and walked together in unity.
First, I am profoundly grateful for the agencies and community partners who came alongside us. Your collaboration was instrumental in helping families move from crisis to stability. This work could not have happened in isolation—it required coordination, humility, and a shared commitment to the well-being of families.
I am also deeply thankful for our Family Advocates, who worked tirelessly and relentlessly. Their compassion, perseverance, and willingness to stand with families during difficult seasons made real transformation possible. They carried hope when families felt overwhelmed and stayed present when the journey was hard.
Most of all, I am grateful for the families who trusted us with their stories. Allowing someone into your most vulnerable moments takes courage. It has been an honor to walk alongside you—to listen, support, and advocate—knowing that trust is sacred.
This first year of the 100 Families Initiative had a tremendous impact on me personally. One of the greatest lessons I learned was to trust God more deeply. God surrounded me with exactly the help I needed to fulfill this mission. He reminded me again and again that I cannot do this alone.
I learned the importance of outsourcing and depending on others. This work is not meant to be carried by one person—it is truly teamwork. I discovered that when I release certain responsibilities, my own gifts and talents are freed to function more fully and effectively.
Another profound lesson was learning to give grace and mercy. Every family is on a different path. Some are ready for change, while others are not yet there. Through love, relationship, and trust, I’ve learned that transformation cannot be rushed. I may not always see the changes I hope for—but this work is not about me.
It is about their journey.
And I am honored to be invited to walk alongside families, even when progress is slow, uncertain, or invisible. Presence matters. Faithfulness matters.
Finally, I learned—again—that God is faithful in His provision. This is His work. He has provided, and He will continue to provide, for my needs and for the needs of this initiative. Every door opened, every resource aligned, and every moment of encouragement was a reminder that we are being carried by His grace.
As I close this year, I do so with gratitude, humility, and renewed trust—looking ahead with faith for what God will continue to build through unity, compassion, and hope.
