Transforming Lives, Building Stability, Empowering Communities

What is the 100 Families Initiative?

The 100 Families Initiative is a collaborative, community-driven effort dedicated to helping families move from crisis to stability. Rooted in faith and fueled by compassion, the initiative aims to address the root causes of poverty and provide families with the tools, resources, and support they need to thrive. By connecting families with churches, organizations, and advocates, we empower them to achieve holistic well-being.

Our Mission

To break the cycle of poverty by offering a holistic approach that addresses physical, emotional, and spiritual needs while equipping families to overcome challenges and achieve self-sufficiency.

Inspired by Proverbs 31:8-9—“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy”—our mission is to create lasting impact by uplifting families and building stronger communities.

How It Works

The initiative is centered on a personalized and collaborative approach:

  1. Assessment: Families are evaluated in 13 key areas that influence their overall health and stability.
  2. Action Plan: A customized plan is created to address immediate needs and long-term goals.
  3. Collaboration: Families are connected with resources through partnerships with churches, nonprofits, and community organizations.
  4. Advocacy: Family advocates walk alongside families, offering support and guidance as they work toward their goals.
  5. Spiritual Growth: Families are linked with local churches for discipleship and spiritual support.

Our Impact

Since its pre-launch in July 2024, the 100 Families Initiative has already:

  • Supported 16 families, with 2 moving from crisis to stability.
  • Partnered with over 28 organizations.
  • Connected families with local churches to provide community and spiritual growth.

One success story involves JD, a father of four children, three of whom have disabilities. Through the initiative, JD’s family received support from multiple organizations to restore electricity and stabilize their household, allowing them to move toward a brighter future.

Why 100 Families?

The goal is to reach 100 families by 2025, offering them the opportunity to break free from crisis and achieve stability. Each family represents not just individuals but entire communities that can benefit from this transformative process. By addressing the root causes of poverty and building lasting support systems, the initiative creates ripples of change that extend far beyond the immediate families.
